The children at the Centre are cared for by trained and experienced staff. The Centre also has a trained cook who provides nutritionally balanced meals for the children, prepared daily at the Centre. The menus change weekly and are displayed for parents to view.
The Centre runs an emergent curriculum throughout the Centre, meaning that the program is focussed on the children's interests. This method is widely recognised as the most appropriate form of programming for infants and pre-school aged children. During the day, staff take photos and record what the children have been doing in the daily diary. The Diary is an evaluation and reflective tool where parents are invited to comment and provide suggestions.
Individual portfolios are also compiled for all children throughout the calendar year. This includes regular documentation on their learning and experiences. The Centre has a School Readiness Program for children who will be attending school the following year. The Centre provides new families with a Parent Handbook on enrolment.
